Event Operations Manager, TTG Media

TTG Media is looking for a highly organised and proactive Event Operations Manager to help lead the planning and execution of Black Book – our brand-new, large-scale luxury travel event, taking place on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 October 2026 at The Business Design Centre in London.
This position is perfect for an experienced events professional with a solid operational background in tradeshows and large-scale B2B events. Working closely with TTG Media’s Head of Events and Head of Luxury you will take ownership of logistics from concept through to delivery – managing suppliers, budgets, contracts, venue operations, floorplans, exhibitor logistics and on-site delivery – ensuring every detail aligns with TTG Media’s standards.
This is a fixed-term contract (12 months) starting no earlier than January 2026, with the potential for extension. Around 75% of your time will be dedicated to managing Black Book, while the remaining 25% will involve supporting the Head of Events and wider team in the operational delivery of TTG Media’s acclaimed events.
The Role / Key Responsibilities
- Lead on operational planning and logistics for Black Book.
- Develop and manage detailed event project timelines on Asana.
- Oversee venue liaison – including floorplans, risk assessments, insurance, compliance and health & safety documentation.
- Manage supplier relationships (AV, catering, signage, furniture, transport, security etc.) ensuring delivery to budget and TTG standards.
- Coordinate exhibitor operations and liaise with all partners on partner booth requirements, exhibitor manuals, build/breakdown schedules and on-site management.
- Support the Head of Luxury, Head of Sales and Head of Marketing with operational input, ensuring exhibitor and visitor experiences align with event positioning as a premium, luxury travel showcase.
- Take ownership of delegate and exhibitor registration systems, processes and matchmaking tools, ensuring seamless communication pre, during and post‑event.
- Oversee on-site event delivery, managing contractors, staff and suppliers to ensure smooth build, live days and breakdown.
- Ensure TTG Media’s Smarter, Better, Fairer practices are incorporated across all operational elements.
- Manage the event budget, tracking spend and ensuring cost efficiency.
- Negotiate supplier contracts and monitor invoices against agreed budgets.
- Support the Head of Events, Events Executive and Content Producer on operational delivery of TTG Media’s portfolio of awards programmes (e.g. TTG Luxury Travel Awards, Top 50 Travel Agencies, The Travel Industry Awards & Top 20 Luxury Travel Agencies).
- Assist with supplier liaison, judging processes and logistics coordination for the awards ceremonies.
- Provide on-site support during TTG Media events as required.
- Represent TTG Media professionally in all supplier, client and partner interactions.
- Assist in tracking the sustainability of TTG Media events through our TRACE platform.
Your Skills and Experience
- At least three years’ experience in B2B events, including management of large-scale tradeshows.
- Strong expertise in venue management, logistics, compliance and health & safety coordination.
- Proven ability in supplier management, negotiation and budget control, ensuring cost-effective event delivery.
- Skilled in delegate and exhibitor operations, including registration and matchmaking systems (e.g. Converve or similar).
- Proficient in project management tools such as Asana for scheduling and workflow tracking.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem‑solving and organisational skills.
- A willingness to implement TTG’s Smarter, Better, Fairer practices.
- Luxury travel industry experience is desirable but not essential.
