Electrical Training Officer
We are looking for an Electrical Training Officer to join us here at TTE Training.
The purpose of the job:
To train, develop and support trainees to achieve the required technical, safety, environmental and behavioural standards. To enable them to meet the needs of customers and the requirements of the EFSA/DFE, Apprenticeship Levy and Apprenticeship Standards training programmes.
Environment/ Context:
- Prepare and deliver the training sessions in accordance with the programme and timetables to meet the funding ESFA/DFE, Apprenticeship Levy and Employer Company requirements.
- Ensure that H&S is adhered to in line with company policy and legal requirements.
- Assess and test progress.
- To deliver and complete training in line with Apprenticeship Standards, Ofsted requirements, ESFA/Apprenticeship levy funded programmes and to meet the needs of Sponsors/ Employers.
Accountabilities of the job:
- Deliver and prepare training materials within the prescribed training programmes to enable trainees to meet the required safety, technical and behavioural standards.
- Develop and review lesson plans and implement improvements to delivery, responding to course evaluation and feedback.
- Monitor, assess, review and provide feedback and recommend improvements to trainees on their progress and support and guide trainees on any aspect of their training where necessary.
- To evaluate progress to determine competency.
- Proactively engage with other training officers to support and encourage a culture focussed on health and safety and good housekeeping standards, supporting and assisting the Health and Safety Manager and enforcing the various TTE policies, rules and terms and conditions of the business.
- Monitor, assess, review and provide feedback and recommend improvements to trainees on their progress and support and guide trainees on any aspect of their training where necessary.
- Report on the performance of trainees through the administration of established systems; maintaining records to ensure that both written and electronic data are accurate.
- To act as mentor to a group to ensure their performance, identify, discuss and resolve, as far as reasonably practicable, their problems.
- Promote personal development so creating and maintaining an environment in which they can realise and achieve their full potential.
- To safeguard learners to ensure that they are learning in a safe environment.
Level of Education and Experience:
- Relevant industrial/academic experience to a minimum of level 3 standard (Required).
- 5 years experience within your specialist area (Required).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Hold or working towards Level 3 Award in Education and Training, CTLLS, NVQ Level 3 in Direct Training & Support, A1 and/or V1 (D32/D33/D34), Cert. Ed. (Desirable).
- Excellent IT skills.
