Freelance Driver Trainer NDORS SCD Practical & Fleet Driver Training Scotland

£150 – £226 per session + mileage (to and from venue)

The role

TTC Group is recruiting experienced Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) to deliver NDORS Safe and Considerate Driving (SCD) practical sessions and Fleet Driver Training across Scotland. This is a dual-purpose role offering flexible freelance work across police-referred road safety programmes and commercial fleet safety training, with opportunities to broaden delivery as your skills and qualifications grow.

Responsibilities

  • NDORS SCD practical (on-road) coaching, supporting drivers to reflect on behaviour and improve safe, considerate driving
  • Fleet driver training, including risk-based on-road coaching for corporate and public-sector clients
  • Sessions typically delivered 1:1 or 2:1 (programme dependent)
  • Accurate completion of course records, feedback and post-session reporting
  • Professional representation of TTC across all client and delegate interactions

Minimum criteria (essential)

  • DVSA-registered ADI (minimum Grade B)
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
  • Minimum 12 months’ experience delivering coaching, instruction or training
  • Strong working knowledge of the Highway Code and safe driving principles
  • Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance
  • Willingness to complete scheme-specific onboarding and quality assurance

NDORS SCD delivery (additional requirements)

  • Suitable training vehicle, insured for instructional use and capable of carrying up to four occupants
  • Willingness to complete NDORS / Accredited Instructor training (if not already licensed)
  • Adherence to NDORS course specifications, materials and delivery standards
  • Willingness to undergo Enhanced DBS/PVG and/or police vetting (NPPV Level 2) where required

Additional opportunity – theory & workshop delivery

Trainers who hold or are willing to achieve a Level 3 Award in Education & Training (AET) or equivalent may also be considered for:

  • NDORS theory workshops
  • Fleet classroom or virtual training, subject to business need and accreditation
