Position Summary:
The Test Analyst is responsible for ensuring that software applications meet business, functional, and technical requirements. This role involves analysing requirements, creating comprehensive test scenarios, executing manual or supporting the automation team in the creation of automated tests, and documenting defects to ensure a high-quality product is delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Planning & Design: Develop detailed UAT test cases, scenarios, and scripts based on functional specifications and user stories in JIRA or supporting the Automation team to automate tests.
- Test Execution: Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for software applications.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and re-test bugs, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with developers.
- Documentation & Reporting: Produce clear, concise test reports, metrics, and dashboards to communicate test coverage and quality status using JIRA.
- Environment Management: Ensure test data and environments are fit for purpose.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, SMEs, developers, and project managers to understand requirements and project goals.
Additional skills required:
- Experience writing Aladdin Test Cases for Aladdin Accounting and/or experience in Performance Measure and Client Reporting.
- 10+ years of experience in software testing with proven experience as a Test Analyst or Tester, with strong knowledge of software testing methodologies (ISTQB qualification preferred).
- Experience in large scale front-office, middle-office and back-office programme delivery in asset management/financial services sector.
- Deep understanding and business knowledge on OEMS End-to-End life cycle covering all asset classes.
- Experience of implementing BlackRock’s Aladdin Platform.
- Familiarity with test and defect management tools (JIRA).
