TT2 Limited, the operator of the iconic Tyne Tunnels has an exciting, rare opportunity for a proactive experienced full-time Communications and Engagement Officer to join our friendly and supportive team at our premises in Wallsend, North Tyneside (this is not a remote position). About this career opportunity: The role is varied and interesting and you will play a critical role supporting the development and delivery of TT2's communications, engagement, partnership and CSR activities. The primary purpose of this position is to identify and develop commercial partnership opportunities, coordinate community engagement initiatives, support media and communications activity, and contribute to the marketing of TT2's products and services in line with corporate objectives.

Main role responsibilities:

  • Support the Marketing and Communications Manager with the coordination and development of the company’s CSR programme and fundraising initiatives.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of communication plans and engagement activity surrounding the company’s CSR programme.
  • Support the Marketing and Communications Manager with the coordination and planning of public relations, media and communications activity.
  • Support the growth of commercial income by identifying and developing advertising, sponsorship and partnership opportunities through networking and B2B relationship management.
  • Work alongside colleagues on social media to proactively seek out and promote potential opportunities to increase traffic volumes, partnership opportunities and customer engagement.
  • Research and analyse market trends, competitor offerings, demographics, and other information that affects marketing strategies.

Essential requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral, engaging at all levels through varied media.
  • Strong B2B networking skills and an ability to achieve outcomes.
  • Highly analytic, determining the relevant metrics and their measurement to assess marketing & communication performance.
  • Demonstrated experience of managing projects/campaigns with key focus on proving return on investment (ROI).
  • Relevant marketing / advertising experience in a busy environment.

Location and working hours: Working as part of the Marketing and Communications team, you will be working 37 hours per week based in our Wallsend office. The office hours are Monday to Thursday 08.30 – 16.30 including 30-minute unpaid lunch break and Friday 08.30 – 16.00 including 30-minute unpaid lunch break. You will deputise for the Marketing and Communications Manager when required. You will participate in Communications on-call rota which is 1 in every 3 weeks.

What’s in it for you? To attract the best candidates, we will offer a salary of £34,841.00 - £36,630.00 per annum, along with membership of the Local Government Defined Benefit Pension Scheme. The Communications on-call rota is currently 1:3 weeks £3507.00 per annum plus a £360.00 broadband payment of per annum. We also offer 26 days annual leave, plus 8 days bank holidays.
