Position Inside Sales Support – Dohler UK (Milton Keynes). Hybrid working pattern available.
Purpose of the Role
Provide a proactive, high‑quality Inside Sales Support service that enhances customer satisfaction, supports sales growth, and strengthens long‑term customer relationships. Act as the key liaison between customers, Account Managers, and internal departments, ensuring efficient coordination throughout the full sales cycle from lead generation through to cash collection.
Customer & Sales Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, delivering a professional and responsive customer experience.
- Support Account Managers throughout the sales process, helping to achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and timely follow‑up.
- Prepare and manage quotations, pricing agreements, and contracts in collaboration with Account Managers and Pricing teams.
- Process and coordinate customer sample requests within agreed timelines, providing delivery updates and gathering customer feedback.
- Organise and support internal and external customer meetings where required.
- Provide customers with relevant product documentation, specifications, MSDS, and related technical information.
Account & Order Management
- Set up and maintain accurate customer master data within SAP R3 and other business systems.
- Monitor and update customer records, pricing structures, contracts, pipelines, delivery conditions, and payment terms.
- Ensure all sales and customer information is accurate, up to date, and maintained in line with company procedures.
- Process invoices, credit notes, debit notes, returns, and other sales administration documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Support the management of overdue accounts and resolve payment‑related queries in collaboration with Finance and Sales teams.
Customer Issue Resolution
- Manage customer complaints and queries professionally and efficiently in collaboration with Quality, Sales, and Notification Management teams.
- Coordinate appropriate corrective actions, including credit notes or service resolutions where required.
- Ensure customers are kept informed throughout the resolution process to maintain strong customer relationships.
Reporting & Business Support
- Prepare customer‑specific reports, sales information, and business data to support commercial decision‑making.
- Monitor customer activity, contracts, opportunities, and account performance metrics.
- Support forecasting and reporting activities by maintaining accurate commercial and operational data.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with Sales, Pricing, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless customer support.
- Share information and best practices to support effective team performance and continuous improvement.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve processes, efficiency, and customer experience.
- Participate in relevant training and development activities to maintain and enhance role‑related knowledge and skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in an Inside Sales, Sales Support, Customer Service, or Sales Administration role.
- Strong customer relationship and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience using ERP systems, ideally SAP R3.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in administrative and commercial processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
Desirable
- Experience within a B2B, manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environment.
- Understanding of sales order processing and commercial documentation.
- Experience supporting Account Managers or field‑based sales teams.
