TT Electronics, Bedlington , are hiring for a Lead Digitisation Engineer to lead the strategy, architecture, and implementation of automated data pipelines, IoT integration, smart manufacturing systems, and advanced analytics.
Working directly to drive yield optimisation, predictive maintenance, and lights-out automation across our cleanroom and assembly lines, you’ll bridge the gap between traditional semiconductor/microelectronic assembly and packaging processes and cutting‑edge digital infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Designing and owning the Industry 4.0 Strategy & Roadmap.
- Driving the integration of legacy and modern microelectronics equipment.
- Architecting robust data pipelines to collect, store, and analyse process data.
- Collaborating with process engineers to implement advanced process control (APC), statistical process control (SPC), and machine learning models.
- Leading multidisciplinary projects with cross functional collaboration, fostering a culture of data‑driven decision‑making.
- Evaluating, selecting, and managing external software vendors, equipment manufacturers, and system integrators.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a smart manufacturing, automation, or data engineering role, ideally within microelectronics assembly, semiconductor packaging, or high‑precision manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience leading digital transformation or Industry 4.0 implementation projects from conception to deployment.
- Familiarity with microelectronics assembly equipment and standard factory automation protocols.
- Proficiency in programming languages used for data analysis and automation.
- Experience with time‑series databases and modern data visualization tools.
- Working knowledge of cloud or edge computing architectures.
- Strong project management capabilities, exceptional problem‑solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
