Role Overview
We require a skilled and motivated CNC Setter to join our Machine Shop Team, based at our site in Abercynon South Wales.
Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC machines (including lathes and/ or milling machines).
- Interpret technical drawings and work instructions to ensure accurate machining.
- Select and install appropriate tools and fixtures.
- Perform quality checks and first off inspections to ensure product conformance.
- Optimise machine settings for efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor equipment performance and report issues proactively.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with HSE standards.
Skills And Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC setter in a precision engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and tool selection.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Proven experience programming with Fanuc and Num controls; experience with Mazatrol is highly desirable.
- Good problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
