London (Hybrid – 3 days office) TT Electronics, a global electronics manufacturer powering everything from satellites to stairlifts, is looking for a proactive, commercially minded Group Legal Counsel to join their small but high-impact legal team. With a new CEO, renewed momentum, and a focus on growth - including an active M&A agenda - this is an exceptional opportunity to step into a broad, influential, high-visibility role at a UK-listed PLC.
Why TT Electronics?
- A close-knit, high-energy legal team with real influence
- Exposure to the full legal spectrum: commercial, M&A, compliance, governance, IP, litigation
- A business with real engineering expertise and a compelling growth story
- Head office relocated to London (Bank) in 2026 - bringing new energy into the organisation
- Genuine opportunity to shape legal strategy and partner directly with leadership
This is the perfect role for someone wanting to move in-house or take the next step up in responsibility - breadth, ownership, and variety come as standard.
The Role
As Group Legal Counsel – Europe, you’ll report directly to the Group General Counsel & Company Secretary and act as a trusted advisor across TT’s UK and EU operations. You’ll handle:
Core Responsibilities
- Leading on commercial contracting across customers, suppliers, consultancy and distribution agreements
- Supporting and leading elements of M&A transactions, including diligence, execution and integration
- Supporting compliance across data protection, export controls, anti-bribery, and wider regulatory matters
- Managing litigation and disputes
- Contributing to strong corporate governance across EU
- Advising on IP considerations (primarily soft IP)
- Partnering with business leaders as a genuine “sounding board”
- Liaising with top-tier external counsel
- Providing training across sites - including UK travel and occasional trips to Asia
You’ll work closely with a small, agile legal team including the GC, a Deputy CoSec, a US-qualified lawyer, and your counterpart in the UK/Asia region.
What We’re Looking For
- England & Wales qualified solicitor
- 4+ PQE (sweet spot: 4–8 PQE)
- Strong background in M&A (either in practice or in-house)
- Experience in commercial contracts with an interest to learn more
- Ability to communicate complex issues simply and effectively
- A collaborative, positive personality – cultural fit is key
- Someone who loves rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck in
- No sector experience needed (but always a bonus)
This is a role for someone who wants variety, visibility, and meaningful impact - not a siloed specialist seat.
Working Pattern & Environment
- 3 days/week in the office
- Travel to UK sites encouraged (4–6 times per year)
- Join a vibrant head office of ~20 people with real cross-functional collaboration
