Responsibilities
- Set, operate and turn materials on the CNC machines.
- Change over and set machines in line with our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Work to achieve set production times and targets.
- Carry out quality checks using various imperial measuring equipment and gauges.
- Follow operation sheets to ensure parts are progressed through the factory correctly and on time.
- Complete online safety training and take responsibility for personal health and safety on site, contributing to a safe working environment for the team.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working area in accordance with 5S or site housekeeping standards.
- Ensure machines, tooling, and work areas are kept in good condition and report any defects or concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- A background in electro/mechanical manufacturing.
- The ability to read and understand a variety of drawings in both imperial and metric.
- Experience with a range of measuring devices, including Vernier callipers, micrometers, height gauges, internal and external thread gauges, and wire gauges.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Capability to collaborate with others in the workshop with minimal supervision.
- Good planning skills.
- Basic computer skills.
