The predicted salary is between 25000 - 32000 € per year.
To both underwrite and provide underwriting support within a designated team, for the region. This role contributes to the continued underwriting progress of the underwriting team.
Main responsibilities:
- Underwrite accounts as directed by the Portfolio Underwriter.
- Direct dealings with Brokers and some Members on day-to-day underwriting issues.
- Be proactive in both increasing production of new business enquiries and retain existing Members, in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
- Demonstration of broad understanding of Risk and technical approach to underwriting all Club products and categories.
- Have a good knowledge of the Club’s cover wordings and AT&C library, and institute cargo clauses.
- Showing a good understanding of the concept of liability and negligence and cargo all risks.
- Formulation of insurance terms and conditions, adhering to underwriting guidelines.
- Co-ordination and organisation of all underwriting matters including preparation of quotations, cover confirmations, and policies.
- Ensure swift turnaround of all underwriting enquiries and new business enquiries, giving priority to key accounts and key targets.
- Ensure good preparation for all renewals, particularly those deemed vulnerable, and consult Portfolio or Senior Underwriter at an early stage to determine strategy.
- Maintain frequent dialogue with claims executives regarding claims developments.
- Make sure all underwriting administration is performed quickly and accurately, that documentation is correct and issued within Contract Certainty guidelines in every case and that all member and entry details held on the systems are up to date.
- Review MI data and exception reports to ensure all underwriting administration is performed quickly and accurately.
- Be able to demonstrate to Members and brokers superior Club service and continue to look for ways to improve the Club offering.
- Ensure all underwriting systems are used properly and consistently.
