We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivery and installation of closure boards efficiently and safely, ensuring timely service to clients. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive a van. The Driver will play a vital part in maintaining our company's reputation for punctuality and customer satisfaction. Closures are predominantly at weekends, so Friday and Sunday nights as a general rule but can be Saturdays on occasion. Other Events Team Staff work opportunities are also available if interested.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate vehicles, in accordance with road safety laws and company policies.
- Deliver and install closure equipment to various locations in East London, ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs.
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with teams regarding schedules or delays.
- Follow all health and safety regulations during driving and loading activities.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, organised, and well-maintained at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery roles, with a valid UK driver’s licence. Must not have more than 6 points on licence.
- Strong driving skills with a focus on safety, efficiency, and adherence to traffic laws.
- Experience driving medium wheelbase vans preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, staff, and dispatch teams.
- Must be able to work as part of a team, with a minimum of 2 in a team but normally 3.
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps efficiently across various routes.
