What You'll Do
- Plan and coordinate daily pallet distribution to maximise efficiency, service levels, and vehicle utilisation
- Build effective transport plans around customer requirements, delivery windows, and operational constraints
- Monitor and adjust plans in real time as operational demands shift
- Support the wider planning team with problem-solving and day-to-day decision-making
- Track, analyse, and report on key operational KPIs
- Handle customer enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Keep customers updated on deliveries, collections, and any service issues
- Stay in regular contact with drivers throughout the day
What You'll Bring
Essential- Previous pallet distribution planning experience
- A proven track record in transport planning within a pallet network or distribution environment
- Strong understanding of transport operations, routing, and vehicle utilisation
- Experience managing and reporting on operational KPIs
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to stay cool under pressure and make smart decisions in a fast-paced setting
- Strong organisational skills and a sharp eye for detail
- Confident with transport management and planning systems, plus Microsoft Office
- Experience in a senior or supervisory planning role
- A track record of supporting and mentoring planning teams
