The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the Transport Team & Directors to manage and coordinate the operations of the companys vehicles across the UK & Ireland whilst liaising with drivers, sub-contractors, and customers.
Key Responsibilities Coordinate all nightshift transport operations.
Maintain regular communication with drivers regarding schedules, delays, and delivery updates.
Ensure all transport documentation is completed accurately and complies with company procedures.
Update transport management systems with shipment information and status changes.
Monitor customer service requirements and communicate any service issues to relevant stakeholders.
Coordinate with day-shift teams to ensure a smooth operational handover.
Investigate and report delivery discrepancies, damages, shortages, or delays.
Ensure compliance with transport legislation, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
Respond to out-of-hours customer or operational queries as required.
Key Skills and Experience Previous experience in transport, logistics, or freight forwarding.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Competent in Microsoft Office and Transport Management Systems (TMS).
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
