Overview
TSSI Recruit are looking for: SEN Teaching Assistants & Early Years with SEND experience to work in a well-run SEN School in West London.
Responsibilities
- TA with primarily ASC, experience 1:1 support for pupil with high sensory needs
- TA with PMLD / SLD experience for pupils with complex medical needs and severe learning difficulties
- Working with small groups or in a 1:1 setting
- Working with the class teacher on differentiation and helping students access a tailored curriculum
- Keeping students engaged in lessons
- Using de-escalation techniques to ensure pupils are calm and able to access the full range of education offered
Essential Criteria
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Two recent work references and relevant DBS/Police checks
- Have a right to work in the UK (Valid Visa)
- Able to work 2-5 days per week term time only (those looking for supply work)

TSSI Recruit is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all of the staff we employ to share this commitment.
Applicants are required to have an Enhanced Child & Adult workforce DBS or have one that must be on the update service or be willing to apply one through us. If you are new to the UK or resident under 5 years, you must have a visa that indicates you are eligible to work in the UK and have a police check from your country of origin.
Trial
Shortlisted candidates may be required to undertake a trial day or more where you will be observed by the head of year.
