Job Title: Electrical Site Supervisor- Minor Works and Civils Reports to: Project Manager Role Summary: As an Electrical Site Supervisor your primary role is to oversee and manage electrical installation activities on-site for minor works projects. You will play a crucial leadership role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of electrical works, while adhering to project specifications, schedules, and budgetary constraints. Your hands-on supervision, technical expertise, and proactive approach will be instrumental in driving project success and client satisfaction. Duties and Responsibilities This is a list of the main duties of the role and should not be considered an exhaustive list of duties. Key Duties * Provide on-site leadership and supervision to electrical installation teams, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. * Plan and coordinate electrical installation activities in collaboration with project managers, site engineers, and other trades, scheduling resources, materials, and equipment to meet project timelines and milestones. * Conduct regular inspections and quality checks of electrical works in progress, verifying compliance with design drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements, and addressing any non-conformities or deficiencies promptly. * Enforce strict adherence to health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations on-site, conducting toolbox talks, safety inductions, and site audits to promote a safe working environment and prevent accidents or incidents. * Manage the procurement, delivery, and storage of electrical materials, tools, and equipment on-site, ensuring availability and readiness as per project requirements, while minimising wastage and controlling costs. * Provide technical guidance and support to electrical installation teams, troubleshooting technical issues, resolving conflicts, and implementing solutions to ensure smooth progress and timely completion of works. * Serve as the primary point of contact for electrical works on-site, liaising with clients, consultants, inspectors, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates, addressing inquiries, and managing expectations to foster positive relationships and ensure client satisfaction. * Maintain accurate records of electrical installation activities, including work progress, site incidents, material deliveries, and subcontractor performance, and prepare regular reports for project managers and senior management as required. Competency Profile Knowledge and Skills * Electrical trade qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2365) or equivalent. * Proven experience as an electrical supervisor or foreman in the construction industry, with a focus on minor works projects. * Strong knowledge of electrical installation methods, materials, and regulations, with a good understanding of wiring regulations (e.g., BS 7671). * Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices applicable to construction sites (e.g., CSCS, SSSTS or SMSTS). * Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage teams, resolve conflicts, and maintain positive working relationships. * Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and hands-on approach to resolving technical issues and overcoming challenges on-site
