We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager to join our Project Management team, supporting mining sustaining capital projects. The role involves managing the delivery of project scope, tasks, deliverables, budgets, and schedules. Reporting to the Project Management Lead, the successful candidate will also manage project expenditure, subcontractor claims, and key project registers (Change, Risk, TQs, SID/HAZID/HAZOP).
Key Accountabilities
- Manage delivery of project scope, tasks, deliverables, budget, and schedule for sustaining capital projects
- Control project expenditure, including review and verification of invoices and subcontractor claims
- Maintain and update project registers (Change, Risk, Technical Queries, HAZID/HAZOP)
- Support client and stakeholder engagement across sustaining capital work programs
- Coordinate across engineering disciplines, contractors, and clients
- Contribute to continuous improvement and mentoring within the project team
Key Requirements
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in engineering or project delivery (mechanical preferred)
- Experience in mining or minerals processing projects, including pumping, piping, and materials handling systems
- Exposure to multiple commodities (e.g., iron ore, battery minerals)
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated interest in growing into, or continued operation in, a Project Manager role
- Previous experience on sustaining capital projects is highly regarded
