Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a fresh challenge? Are you open to working in the passive fire protection industry? TSR Recruitment are actively working with a Fire Protection contractor based in the Leicestershire area who are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join the team.

Benefits:

  • Basic salary circa £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
  • Car allowance circa £4k
  • 20 days annual leave plus Christmas shutdown and bank holidays (31 in total)
  • 8.30 am to 5 pm working hours (30min break)
  • Discretionary bonus up to 10% after 12 months employment
  • 3% employee pension contributions

Job Role & Responsibilities:

A hybrid role covering both Estimating and Quantity Surveying.

Estimating duties will cover:

  • Additional works on existing projects and new schemes
  • Offer value engineering
  • Costing off a schedule of rates
  • Submit documentation / tenders to win work

Quantity Surveying duties will include:

  • Commercial managing live schemes
  • Work closely with the Contracts Managers to ensure projects are completed within budget
  • Carry out monthly cost value reports
  • Attend site meetings
  • Complete final accounts
  • Manage the contractual QS side identifying and resolving issues

Company Details:

Established business with 20 years trading history. Circa £20 million annual turnover. Excellent client base including tier 1, tier 2 and SMEs. Projects range from small schemes at £1k to £2 million.

Knowledge/Experience:

  • A proven history working as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Open to sector experience either main contractor or specialist subcontractor
  • Preferably degree educated
  • Good IT and numerical skills
  • Full UK driving license
