TSR Legal are pleased to be representing a well-established and respected regional law firm, who are looking to recruit a Conveyancing Legal Assistant to support an experienced Conveyancer with a caseload of local residential property work. This role would suit someone with prior conveyancing support experience who enjoys being closely involved in transactions and working within a collaborative, community-focused team.
The Role
- You will work alongside a Conveyancer, providing comprehensive administrative and legal support to ensure matters progress smoothly from instruction through to post‑completion.
- The work is largely local, with a strong emphasis on quality, client care, and long‑term relationships rather than volume.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting a Conveyancer with residential conveyancing matters, including sales and purchases
- Preparing legal documentation, correspondence, and contracts
- Opening, managing, and closing files in line with firm procedures
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors
- Assisting with post‑completion matters, including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications
- Updating case management systems and maintaining accurate file records
- General administrative support to ensure transactions run efficiently
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a Conveyancing Legal Assistant or similar role within residential conveyancing
- A good understanding of the conveyancing process
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicator with a professional and approachable manner
- Able to work effectively as part of a close‑knit team
