TSR Legal are pleased to be representing an established and highly regarded law firm in Somerset that is experiencing continued growth and a significant increase in new residential property instructions. As a result, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Residential Property Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join their friendly and supportive team based in Weston-super-Mare.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a CQS-accredited firm that genuinely puts clients at the heart of what they do. The successful candidate will work closely alongside experienced Partners within a collaborative environment that actively supports professional development and long-term career progression.
The Role
You will manage your own varied residential conveyancing caseload while also playing a key role in supporting the wider department. Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and first registrations
- Supporting Partners with the supervision and development of more junior team members
- Assisting with marketing and business development initiatives to raise both personal and departmental profile
- Providing a high standard of client care, with regular client contact including face-to-face meetings
- Tailoring advice to each client's individual needs and best interests
- Making effective use of administrative and support resources to ensure matters progress efficiently
- Maintaining responsibility for day-to-day financial management on files, with support from an experienced accounts team
- Ensuring files are fully compliant, accurate and up to date (both electronic and physical)
- Preparing legal documentation and correspondence using Microsoft Office and the firm's case management system
- Maintaining strict confidentiality and data security at all times
About You
The firm is keen to speak with conveyancers who can demonstrate:
- A minimum of 3 years PQE (or equivalent experience)
- Recent experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload independently within a busy department
- Strong communication and client care skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive, flexible and professional approach
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence working both autonomously and as part of a team
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and case management systems
