A new opportunity has arisen for a Private Client Solicitor (1-4 PQE) to join a well-established and highly regarded Private Client team in Weston-super-Mare. This role would suit a solicitor looking to take ownership of a varied and high-quality caseload while working closely with experienced partners in a supportive and well-resourced environment. The department is known for its strong client relationships, excellent administrative support, and steady workflow, allowing fee earners to focus on delivering high-quality advice and service.
The role will involve:
- Managing a busy and varied private client caseload from instruction through to completion.
- Advising on wills, estate administration, trusts, lasting powers of attorney, Court of Protection and attorneyship matters.
- Regular client contact, including face-to-face meetings.
- Providing tailored advice in clients’ best interests, often on sensitive matters.
- Managing day-to-day matter balances with support from an experienced cash office team.
- Maintaining compliant, well-organised files and ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Assisting partners with marketing initiatives and business development to support departmental growth.
- Preparing correspondence and documentation using Microsoft Office.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Be a qualified Private Client Solicitor with 1-4 years’ PQE.
- Have recent experience running your own caseload within a Wills and Probate or Private Client department.
- Demonstrate strong client care, communication, and organisational skills.
- Be proactive, flexible, and able to manage your workload autonomously while contributing positively to the wider team.
- Have excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Be local to Weston-super-Mare or surrounding areas.
