A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced commercial Property Solicitor (Agricultural) at Senior Associate level (3+ PQE) to join a well-established and highly regarded agricultural team based in Wells. This role has been created to strengthen the department’s senior technical depth and provide a vital link between the Head of Department and junior lawyers within the team.

You will play a key role in supporting the strategic and day-to-day running of the agricultural practice, acting as a trusted point of reference for complex matters while also mentoring and supporting junior colleagues as they continue to develop.

The role will involve:

  • Handling a varied and high-quality caseload of agricultural matters, including agricultural tenancies, land transactions, farming partnerships, rural estate work, and related advisory matters.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to junior solicitors, apprentices, and paralegals within the team.
  • Working closely with the Head of Department on complex files, knowledge sharing, and departmental development.
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with farming clients, landowners, and rural businesses.
  • Contributing to business development and the continued growth of the agricultural practice.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be a qualified Solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE and strong experience in agricultural and rural property law.
  • Have the confidence and technical ability to manage complex matters independently.
  • Enjoy mentoring and supporting junior team members as part of a collaborative department.
  • Demonstrate excellent client care and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
  • Be keen to play a senior, influential role within a growing rural practice.
