TSR Legal are delighted to be working with a well-established, busy high street law firm looking to expand its successful Residential Conveyancing team with the appointment of a Conveyancing Legal Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team consisting of 4 Residential Conveyancers and 4 Legal Assistants, working collaboratively to provide a high-quality service to a loyal and longstanding client base.
The Role
As a Conveyancing Legal Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting the conveyancing team with a varied caseload of residential property matters, ensuring transactions progress efficiently from instruction through to completion. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing administrative and legal support to Residential Conveyancers
- Preparing contract packs and legal documentation
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and solicitors to provide updates throughout transactions
- Opening new files and carrying out compliance and anti-money laundering checks
- Requesting searches and managing incoming documentation
- Assisting with exchange and completion preparations
- Managing diaries, appointments and correspondence
- Ensuring case management systems are kept up to date and files are progressed efficiently
About You
- Previous experience as a Conveyancing Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary or Conveyancing Paralegal is preferred
- A good understanding of the residential conveyancing process
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Comfortable working within a collaborative, fast-paced team environment
