TSR Legal are delighted to be working with a growing and highly regarded legal practice in Taunton that is looking to expand its Residential Property team with the appointment of an experienced Residential Conveyancer. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and client-focused legal professional to join a busy and collaborative team handling a broad range of residential property matters.
The successful candidate will have experience managing their own caseload and will be confident handling transactions from instruction through to post-completion. The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- New build and new homes transactions
- Shared ownership matters
- Transfers of equity
- Remortgages
- Title checking and reporting
- Managing exchange and completion processes
- Handling matters from initial instruction through to post-completion
You will work closely with clients, estate agents, lenders, developers, and third parties to ensure transactions progress efficiently while maintaining excellent standards of client care throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full residential conveyancing caseload independently
- Provide clear, practical, and commercially focused legal advice to clients
- Conduct title investigations and resolve title queries
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documentation and contracts
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, brokers, and other solicitors
- Ensure compliance with SRA regulations, AML requirements, and CQS protocols
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using case management systems
- Identify and manage risk in accordance with internal policies and procedures
- Deliver exceptional levels of client service and maintain strong professional relationships
- Support the wider conveyancing team where required

The ideal candidate will have:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Experience dealing with more complex residential property matters would be advantageous
