This top law firm with offices in Northampton is looking for a Commercial Senior Associate / Legal Director to join its award-winning commercial & corporate legal team in Northampton. This is a well-known law firm that has built a superb reputation across the country. A hybrid working system is offered where employees are asked to come into the office at least 2 days a week.
The firm is looking for a Commercial Solicitor to join its team and add to the departments existing success. The team already have a substantial network of clients (both private and public sector), therefore the work is varied and the successful commercial associate will gain second-to-none experience working on all aspects of commercial law.
You will enjoy working with exciting well-known clients who are at the top of their game and will embrace working as a team to help reach and exceed expectations. Team responsibilities will include:
Drafting, reviewing/analysing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts including: Trading terms, framework arrangements, supply agreements, agency agreements, and IT contracts.
Advising on intellectual property law including trademark registrations and renewals, copyright licensing and other IP matters
Advising on commercial agreements in the charity sector
Participating in marketing, networking and business development events particularly in the health care and life sciences sector or Fintech sector
Supervising junior members of the team, acting as a mentor and ensuring their continuous development and progression.
Actively pursuing and supporting appropriate business development opportunities for the Firm
Contributing to tenders for new work in conjunction with other fee earners and the Business Development function.
Analysing problems, highlighting areas of risk and coming up with solutions.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Preferably some experience in the fields of data protection law and technology contracts.
Proven track record of reviewing and negotiating on a wide range of commercial contracts.
Good understanding of intellectual property law.
