TSR Legal is delighted to be working with a leading Legal 500 law firm seeking a Legal Administrator to join its Conveyancing & Legal Operations team in Taunton. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to join a fast‑paced legal environment, supporting residential property transactions and wider legal operations. Whether you already have experience within legal administration or have developed strong administrative skills in another professional setting, this role offers excellent training and long‑term career development.
The Role
As a Legal Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the firm’s conveyancing teams and legal operations function, ensuring matters progress efficiently and clients receive an exceptional service. Key responsibilities will include:
- Opening and closing client files
- Assisting with client onboarding and compliance procedures
- Preparing legal documents, correspondence, and reports
- Ordering searches and processing conveyancing documentation
- Managing incoming and outgoing communications
- Maintaining accurate records on case management systems
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and third parties
- Supporting fee earners and operational teams with administrative tasks
- Ensuring files are maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements and firm procedures
What We’re Looking For
We are interested in hearing from candidates who are highly organised, detail‑oriented, and eager to develop within the legal sector. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in an administrative, legal support, or customer service role
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A professional and client‑focused approach
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment and meet deadlines
Previous legal or conveyancing experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
