Litigation Solicitor
Location: Swansea
Salary: Up to £40,000 (DOE)
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (initial on-site expectation)
About the Role
A leading Swansea firm with a strong reputation across South Wales is seeking a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join its Litigation team. The practice is well known for its collaborative working culture, excellent client service, and development opportunities for junior lawyers.
This role offers the chance to gain broad exposure to litigation work, with a particular focus on contentious probate matters. You will be working as part of a team that handles a wide range of disputes, giving you both variety and the opportunity to develop specialist expertise.
The role will involve:
- Managing a mixed caseload of general litigation and contentious probate matters.
- Advising clients on inheritance disputes, contractual disputes, and related litigation.
- Drafting legal documentation and handling pre-action and court procedures.
- Building client relationships and supporting business development.
- Working closely with experienced lawyers on complex cases.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Be a qualified solicitor (NQ–1 PQE) with experience in litigation.
- Have completed a training seat in litigation or private client, ideally with contentious exposure.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a commercial approach.
- Show confidence in handling your own caseload with supervision.
- Be motivated to grow within a progressive and supportive environment.
