The Opportunity

TSR Legal is pleased to be working on behalf of a well-established national law firm in the appointment of an experienced Senior Paralegal to join its Contract Resolution Group within the Civil Litigation Division. This role offers the opportunity to manage a varied caseload of civil litigation matters, primarily arising from contractual disputes. You will work on both Claimant and Defendant matters involving:

  • Commercial contract disputes
  • Consumer contract claims
  • Misrepresentation matters
  • Professional negligence claims
  • Construction disputes

The work includes legal expenses insurance (LEI) referrals, as well as private and commercial instructions. Many matters are complex, high value, and intellectually challenging, offering excellent exposure and development opportunities. The team is collaborative, supportive, and committed to professional development. You will work alongside experienced litigation professionals in an environment that values teamwork, technical excellence, and client care.

Flexible & Remote Working

This role can be:

  • Hybrid (office and remote working), or
  • Fully remote

The team currently operates from Leeds, Cardiff, and Bristol offices, so occasional attendance at internal meetings may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing your own caseload of fast track, intermediate, and multi-track contract disputes
  • Handling matters relating to the sale of goods and services, construction disputes, and professional negligence claims
  • Communicating with clients via telephone, video call, and face-to-face meetings
  • Progressing files using the firm's case management system
  • Preparing legal documents and correspondence
  • Billing and invoicing on matters
  • Working to court deadlines and procedural timetables

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

  • Previous experience handling your own litigation caseload
  • Experience advising clients on contract-based disputes
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Client-focused and commercially aware approach
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • Experience using case management systems
  • IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and Excel

Desirable

  • Experience working with insurance-funded clients
  • Experience handling both Fast Track and Multi-Track litigation matters
