TSR Legal are pleased to be working exclusively with a highly regarded law firm that is home to one of the largest and most specialist leasehold extension teams in the country. This is not a bolt-on practice area — leasehold enfranchisement is at the very core of what they do. The team handles work nationwide for both freeholders and leaseholders and continues to grow year on year due to an outstanding reputation in the market. To date, they’ve helped around 10,000 clients extend their leases or acquire their freehold and currently manage circa 350 matters annually. This role has arisen due to continued growth and offers a rare opportunity for a true leasehold specialist to join a market-leading team where the work is high quality, consistent, and genuinely specialist.
The Role
- You’ll manage a caseload focused exclusively on:
- Lease extensions
- Enfranchisement
- Right to Manage matters
There is no contentious leasehold work within this role — all disputes are handled by an in-house specialist litigation team, allowing you to focus on technical, advisory and transactional work. In addition to fee earning, this role has a strong supervisory and mentoring element, supporting and developing junior members of the team.
The Ideal Candidate
- This role is only suitable for an experienced leasehold specialist.
- A minimum of 3 years’ solid experience handling lease extensions, enfranchisement and RTM matters.
- Deep, hands-on expertise in leasehold work (this is not suitable for someone who has done “the odd” lease extension).
- A genuine commitment to specialising in leasehold enfranchisement long term.
- Proven experience supervising, mentoring and training junior staff — this is a key part of the role.
- A desire to continue developing your technical expertise in this niche area.
- The confidence to work in a fast-paced, high-volume specialist environment.
- Excellent client care and communication skills.
- A strong billing track record.
- The ability to delegate effectively.
- A collaborative, team-focused approach with strong people skills.
- Good organisational ability and excellent IT competence.
Working Pattern & Flexibility
- Full-time preferred, though part-time candidates will be considered.
- Fully remote, hybrid or office-based working available.
- Offices are based in Wiltshire. That said, candidates who are able to spend some time in the office will be prioritised, due to the importance of hands-on supervision and training of junior team members.
Salary
Market-leading, dependent on experience and level of expertise.
Why This Role?
From a recruitment perspective, this is one of the strongest specialist leasehold opportunities I see in the market. You’ll be joining a firm where leasehold enfranchisement is taken seriously, properly resourced, and supported by genuine experts — not treated as a secondary add-on to conveyancing. If you’re a leasehold specialist who wants to focus on what you do best, work with like-minded experts, and play a key role in developing the next generation of leasehold lawyers, this is a role well worth exploring.
