A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Family Solicitor or FCILEx with a minimum of 6 years’ PQE or equivalent experience to join a well-established family department within a national law firm. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced family specialist to take on a senior role within a respected team, handling high-quality divorce and financial remedy work while also supporting the continued development of the department.
The firm offers a national platform, strong internal infrastructure and a collaborative working environment, with genuine scope for career progression.
The role will involve:
- Managing your own caseload of divorce and financial remedy matters.
- Advising on pre-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and related family law issues.
- Undertaking your own advocacy where appropriate.
- Supporting business development, networking and work creation initiatives.
- Assisting with online legal documents and wider departmental projects.
- Helping with the training, supervision and development of junior case handlers.
- Working closely with colleagues across the family team to deliver a high-quality client service.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Be a qualified Solicitor, FCILEx authorised litigator or equivalent with at least 6 years’ PQE or equivalent experience.
- Have strong experience running your own family law caseload, particularly divorce and finance matters.
- Be confident undertaking advocacy where appropriate.
- Have experience supervising or supporting junior team members.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills, excellent time management and the ability to work under pressure.
- Be commercially minded, with the ability to contribute to business development and bring in work.
- Have a positive, personable and proactive approach to family law.
- Experience of international divorce and finance work would be advantageous, as would Resolution accreditation, although this is not essential.
