TSR Legal are currently working with a specialist boutique employment law practice with an established reputation for delivering high-quality, commercially focused advice to employers, senior executives and HR professionals. Our client has an excellent collaborative approach, technical excellence and commitment to client service have enabled us to build long-standing relationships with clients ranging from SMEs to national businesses. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Employment Senior Associate to join the team on a fully remote basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious employment lawyer to join a highly regarded specialist practice and work closely with experienced partners on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. You will enjoy significant client contact, autonomy over your caseload and the flexibility of a fully remote working environment, whilst remaining an integral part of a close-knit and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising employer clients on a wide range of employment law matters.
- Managing Employment Tribunal claims from inception through to final hearing.
- Providing strategic advice on disciplinary, grievance and performance management processes.
- Advising on redundancy, restructuring and business reorganisation projects.
- Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, service agreements, policies and settlement agreements.
- Supporting clients with TUPE-related matters and business transfers.
- Advising on senior executive exits and workplace investigations.
- Delivering pragmatic and commercially focused advice aligned with clients' business objectives.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Supporting business development initiatives, networking and thought leadership activities.
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers where appropriate.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with ideally 6+ years' PQE in employment law.
- Strong experience advising employer clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters.
- Proven ability to manage a varied caseload independently.
- Excellent technical knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law.
- Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
- Commercially minded with a practical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Comfortable working autonomously within a fully remote environment.
- A proactive and collaborative team player.
