TSR Legal are currently representing a highly regarded professional negligence practice based in Cardiff as they look to expand the team with an additional Senior Associate Solicitor.

Our client is seeking a Senior Associate Solicitor to join the team, responsible for acting for insurers, brokers, and other insurance sector clients, handling complex and high-profile matters across a range of sectors including legal, financial services, property, technology, media, and business consultancy.

The role will involve advising and representing policyholders in contentious matters before the County Court, High Court, Technology and Construction Court (TCC), Commercial Court, and under the Financial Ombudsman Service and other consumer redress schemes.

You will work on challenging professional liability and insurance law, including issues relating to scope of duty, breach, causation, quantum, and complex policy coverage.

You will be responsible for reporting to insurer clients in line with high service standards, demonstrating strong capabilities in accurate reserving, strategic case planning, and proactive file management.

A solid working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) is essential, including experience with costs management, funding arrangements, Part 36 offers, pre-action protocols, interim applications, disclosure, and expert evidence.

This role would suit an individual with a strong commitment to delivering excellent client service, a proactive and enquiring approach, and the ability to provide clear, commercially focused advice.
