This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys high-quality residential work, values collaboration, and wants to play a key role in both client delivery and team development.

The Role

Youll be joining a close-knit Residential Property team that advises on a broad range of non-contentious matters, including:

  • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases

  • Re-mortgages

  • Transfers of equity

  • Voluntary first registrations

  • Lease extensions

The team works collaboratively, sharing knowledge and supporting one another to deliver an exceptional level of client service. The firm places real emphasis on bespoke advice, attention to detail and building long-term client relationships.

Files are managed electronically, and hybrid working is actively supported. Youll be expected to be office-based at least three days per week, with flexibility around the needs of the team, firm and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising on the full breadth of residential property transactional work

  • Managing your own caseload with minimal supervision

  • Supervising, mentoring and supporting junior members of the team

  • Maintaining excellent client relationships and delivering a consistently high level of service

  • Keeping up to date with developments in residential property law and sharing knowledge across the team

  • Contributing positively to a dynamic and ambitious team culture

  • Supporting business development initiatives and encouraging internal and external referrals

About You

This role would suit someone who is confident, commercially minded and enjoys working as part of a team.

You will ideally have:

  • 5+ years PQE (Solicitors, CILEX Lawyers and Licensed Conveyancers all considered)

  • A strong background in residential property, ideally with local knowledge of the Reading market

  • The ability to handle a caseload independently and supervise junior colleagues

  • Excellent technical and drafting skills

  • Strong client-care, communication and relationship-building abilities

  • A collaborative mindset and genuine enthusiasm for team success

The firm offers a genuinely attractive benefits package, including:

  • Private Medical Insurance

  • Generous annual leave (27 days plus bank holidays)

  • Pension scheme

  • Bonus scheme

  • Life assurance

  • Electric vehicle scheme

  • Cycle to Work scheme

  • Gym membership contribution

  • Flu vaccinations

  • Employee perks and wellbeing benefits

Why Consider This Firm?
