Role and Key Responsibilities:

As a Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) in Employment, you will:

• Collaborate closely with the marketing team to showcase the departments capabilities to clients and prospects
• Focus on developing the talent within the team by providing need-to-know updates to drive technical excellence and commercial focus
• Support specific workstreams and sectors within the UK employment team, fostering deep sector expertise
• Stay abreast of key developments in law and practice, sharing need-to-know updates with clients and prospects
• Contribute to key client relationships through horizon scanning, knowledge management, and value-add services
• Engage in profile-raising activities, such as article writing, participation in external networks, committee contributions, event organization, and thought leadership development
• Advise on innovative solutions to client issues, utilizing available technology appropriately
• Manage client-facing interactions

Skills and Experience:

The desired candidate will:

• Have at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in employment law
• Be a collaborative team player with a wide commercial perspective, demonstrating creativity and a desire for continuous improvement
• Possess a strong interest in black letter law, excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and a focus on innovation
• Demonstrate a commitment to enhancing client relationships through knowledge and value-add services
