Location: Cardiff and Surrounding Areas, South Wales
Salary: Up to £45,000 (DOE)

About the Role
A new opportunity has arisen for a Probate Solicitor with around 2-3years’ PQE to join a growing and supportive team based in Cardiff. This is an excellent chance to further your career in private client law with a firm that places real value on providing a personal and professional service to its clients. The role will involve:

  • Managing a varied caseload of probate matters, including complex estate administration and inheritance tax issues.
  • Advising clients on the preparation and review of Wills, LPAs, and related estate planning matters.
  • Supporting clients through the full probate process from application through to estate distribution.
  • Liaising with HMRC and the Probate Registry, ensuring compliance and accuracy in documentation.
  • Working with a range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, cohabiting couples, and blended families.
  • Participating in business development and building long-term relationships with clients.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be a qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with experience in probate and estate administration.
  • Have strong knowledge of inheritance tax, trusts, and estate planning issues.
  • Possess excellent client care skills, with a sensitive and professional approach to handling emotionally charged matters.
  • Be highly organised and able to manage multiple cases independently.
  • Ideally have STEP membership or be working towards it (not essential).
