About the Role

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Personal Injury Solicitor (NQ-2 PQE) to join a highly regarded specialist team in Cardiff, acting on a strong pipeline of Employers’ Liability and Public Liability claims (up to £25k).

This is the type of role many solicitors look for but rarely find – a genuinely supportive environment where you can build a long-term career in Personal Injury, without the pressure that often comes with the sector. You’ll be joining a close-knit team of up to 18 people, with hands‑on mentorship, real development, and a culture that prioritises quality work and a healthy work‑life balance.

The role will involve:

  • Running a caseload of EL/PL matters up to £25,000, with the support of an experienced team.
  • Advising clients from initial instruction through to settlement.
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements and key documentation.
  • Managing claims efficiently, ensuring excellent client care throughout.
  • Working collaboratively with senior fee earners and support staff to progress files smoothly.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be a qualified Solicitor (NQ-2 PQE) with experience or a strong interest in Personal Injury.
  • Have exposure to Employers’ Liability and/or Public Liability matters (training seat experience welcomed).
  • Be confident handling your own files while knowing when to scale for support.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and a client‑focused approach.
  • Be keen to learn, develop, and progress within a specialist PI environment.

What You’ll Get in Return

  • Up to £35,000 (DOE)
  • 10% bonus plus an additional Christmas bonus
  • No targets – the focus is on quality work, not KPIs
  • Capped caseload and genuinely manageable workload
  • Hybrid working with a true 9:00-5:00 working culture
  • Free parking
  • Direct mentorship and structured support from experienced PI specialists
  • A friendly, sociable team environment with a modern and relaxed culture

If you’re a Newly Qualified solicitor (or up to 2 years’ PQE) looking to build a career in EL/PL Personal Injury within a firm known for retaining and developing its people, this is one of the best opportunities currently available in Cardiff.
