Join as a Paralegal within the Real Estate Finance team, supporting solicitors on a broad range of secured lending and finance transactions. This includes acting for major lenders, banks, and borrowers on property-backed finance arrangements. With the right experience, you will be trusted to take responsibility for elements of transactions, liaise directly with clients, and manage your own workload under supervision. For ambitious candidates, there is scope for future training contract opportunities, though the firm equally values those who wish to build a long-term paralegal career.
Responsibilities
- Assisting solicitors with real estate finance transactions, including secured lending, refinancing, and development finance
- Drafting and reviewing finance and security documentation
- Conducting property due diligence, including title reviews and searches
- Managing conditions precedent checklists and completion processes
- Liaising with lenders, borrowers, and other professional advisers
- Legal research and administrative support
- Contributing to team initiatives and business development activities where appropriate
Candidate requirements
- Minimum of six months’ experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant (ideally within Real Estate Finance, Banking, or Real Estate)
- Strong understanding of property transactions and/or finance documentation
- Excellent communication and client-care skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
- Professional, motivated, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- IT proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office and case management systems
- A law degree or equivalent is desirable, with prior real estate or finance experience highly advantageous
