TSR Legal are delighted to be supporting a highly regarded Top 100 law firm with the appointment of a Conveyancing Assistant to join its established Residential Property team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Assistant, Conveyancing Assistant or legal administrator looking to develop their career within a respected and progressive firm.
You will work closely with experienced fee earners, providing high-quality administrative and legal support and helping to ensure residential property matters progress efficiently from instruction through to completion and post-completion.
The Role
As a Conveyancing Assistant, you will provide comprehensive support to the Residential Property team, with responsibilities including:
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to fee earners
- Opening and maintaining client files in line with internal procedures
- Managing telephone calls, emails, post and general correspondence
- Producing legal documents, letters and other correspondence
- Audio typing and supporting voice recognition systems where required
- Assisting with the progression of residential property transactions
- Processing matters through relevant online portals
- Obtaining searches and other documentation
- Preparing forms and assisting with general conveyancing processes
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, other solicitors and third parties
- Arranging meetings and supporting fee earners with diary management
- Assisting with funding and the processing of monies
- Supporting the team with Land Registry and other relevant requirements
- Managing post-completion processes
- Preparing bills and documents under the supervision of fee earners
- Ensuring files are maintained accurately and in accordance with compliance and risk procedures
- Supporting with AML and file-opening requirements Maintaining accurate client information on the firm’s CRM system
- Assisting with business development and team activities where required
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
About You
We are keen to hear from candidates who have previous experience within a legal environment, ideally with exposure to residential conveyancing or property.

Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, Legal Administrator, Property Assistant
The successful candidate will ideally have
- Previous experience within a legal or professional services environment
- Residential property or conveyancing experience is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A good understanding of client service and relationship management
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn
- The ability to work collaboratively within a busy team
