A new opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join a highly regarded claimant clinical negligence team with a strong national reputation for handling complex, sensitive and high-value work.

This is an excellent opportunity for an NQ solicitor, or a solicitor with early post-qualification experience, who is looking to develop within a specialist clinical negligence team where they will receive high-quality supervision, exposure to serious injury work and the opportunity to build a long-term career in this area.

About the Role

This confidential opportunity is with a leading national legal practice known for its work supporting individuals and families through complex medical negligence claims. The team has a strong reputation for high-value claimant work and offers a supportive, structured environment for junior solicitors looking to develop their technical expertise.

You will work as part of an experienced clinical negligence team, assisting on complex matters while also beginning to take responsibility for your own files as your experience develops.

The role will involve:
  • Assisting on a varied caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters.
  • Supporting senior solicitors on complex and high-value claims.
  • Dealing with matters involving delayed diagnosis, surgical errors, birth injury, fatal claims, inquests and other serious medical negligence issues.
  • Drafting letters of claim, witness statements, instructions to experts and other key documents.
  • Reviewing medical records and evidence.
  • Liaising with clients, experts, counsel and other parties.
  • Developing your own caseload under supervision.
  • Supporting clients with empathy, professionalism and clear communication.
To be successful in this role, you will:
  • Be a Newly Qualified Solicitor or have early post-qualification experience.
  • Have completed a seat, paralegal role or previous experience in clinical negligence, personal injury or another claimant litigation area.
  • Have strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive matters carefully.
  • Be able to work collaboratively as part of a specialist team.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be committed to building a career in claimant clinical negligence work.
