Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive – 2+ PQE
TSR Legal are currently supporting a well regarded law firm based in Newport, who are seeking a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our friendly and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor or legal executive with a strong background in private client work who is committed to delivering a high-quality, personal service to clients.
You will manage your own caseload, build lasting client relationships and provide clear, practical advice on a range of private client matters.
Key responsibilities
- Drafting wills, including complex wills where appropriate.
- Advising on estate planning, inheritance tax and succession matters.
- Administering estates and obtaining grants of probate and letters of administration.
- Advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters, where applicable.
- Advising clients on trusts and related private client matters.
- Managing a varied caseload efficiently and ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Building strong relationships with clients, professional contacts and referrers.
- Contributing to business development and the continued growth of the department.
About you
The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales.
- Have experience handling a private client caseload independently.
- Demonstrate excellent technical knowledge and attention to detail.
- Possess strong communication and client-care skills, with a compassionate and professional approach.
- Be organised, commercially aware and able to manage competing priorities.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Applications from candidates with STEP qualifications or a willingness to pursue further professional development are welcome.
