TSR Legal are currently working with a leading law firm with a strong reputation for private client and dispute resolution work is seeking a Contentious Probate Solicitor to join its growing team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor with experience in contentious probate, litigation, or private client matters to develop their career within a specialist and highly regarded practice area. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced practitioners on a broad range of complex and high-value inheritance and trust disputes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of contentious probate matters from instruction through to resolution.
  • Advising clients on disputes relating to the validity of wills, estate administration, trusts, and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
  • Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and court applications.
  • Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings where required.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships and delivering an exceptional standard of service.
  • Supporting business development and networking activities to further enhance the team's profile.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Qualified Solicitor status in England and Wales.
  • Experience in contentious probate, civil litigation, or property litigation.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • Strong organisational and case management abilities.
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach.
