Our client is a leading national law firm with a strong UK presence and a well-established Planning practice. Our client’s Cardiff office plays a key role in advising major public and private sector clients across Wales and the UK on complex, high-profile development and infrastructure projects.

We are seeking an experienced Planning Solicitor to join our client’s growing Planning & Environment team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior lawyer to take a leading role on significant planning matters, work closely with key clients, and contribute to the strategic development of the practice in Wales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Major infrastructure and regeneration projects
  • Residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments
  • Compulsory purchase and compensation
  • Planning agreements (s106), development consent orders, and highways matters
  • Planning enforcement, appeals, and judicial review
About you
  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales
  • Significant post-qualification experience in planning law typically 4+ PQE
  • Strong technical expertise with experience handling complex and high-value matters
  • Proven ability to manage files autonomously and mentor junior team members
  • Commercially minded with excellent client-facing and communication skills
  • Experience of Welsh planning matters and devolved regimes is highly desirable
