An ambitious and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Public Law Solicitor to play a leading role in the development and expansion of its Public Law, Human Rights and Inquests practice. The Opportunity- Lead the growth and development of the Public Law, Human Rights and Inquests offering
- Manage and develop a caseload of judicial review, human rights and legally aided matters
- Represent clients in complex and sensitive cases involving public authorities
- Undertake and develop inquest work, including Article 2 cases
- Help shape strategy, processes and future recruitment within the team
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers where appropriate
- Build relationships across the sector and contribute to business development initiatives
- Qualified Solicitor with strong experience in Public Law, Human Rights and/or Inquests
- Legal Aid Supervisor status is essential
- Demonstrable experience managing complex publicly funded matters
- Passionate about access to justice and representing vulnerable clients
- Commercially aware with an interest in developing and growing a specialist practice
- Ambitious, collaborative and motivated to build something for the long term
