A rare opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified to 3 PQE Solicitor to join the in-house legal team of a large, regulated organisation operating within a highly technical and fast-evolving sector. This role offers an excellent pathway for a solicitor looking to move in-house at an early stage, gaining exposure to commercial, regulatory, and project-based work within a complex operational environment. The position provides hands‑on responsibility, strong support, and significant scope for long‑term development.
The Opportunity
You will work closely with senior members of the legal team, providing legal advice and support across a broad range of internal stakeholders. The work is varied and intellectually challenging, with opportunities to develop sector‑specific expertise and play a meaningful role in high‑profile, long‑term projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, including construction and engineering‑related contracts (training available where required).
- Advising on commercial risk, procurement matters, and contractual disputes.
- Developing an understanding of the organisation’s regulatory framework and applying this in day‑to‑day legal advice.
- Supporting compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Providing pragmatic, commercial advice to non‑legal stakeholders across the business.
- Managing matters appropriate to level of experience, with support and escalation where needed.
About You
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (NQ‑3 PQE).
- Experience in commercial law gained in private practice or in‑house, or a strong interest in transitioning in‑house early.
- Interest in regulated sectors, infrastructure, projects, or technically complex environments (experience beneficial but not essential).
- Strong drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially minded, proactive, and keen to develop specialist knowledge.
