Head of Conveyancing – Newport New opportunity | Newport | Head of Department TSR Legal are pleased to be representing an established and well-regarded law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Head of Conveyancing to lead its Newport office. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong conveyancer with 6+ years' PQE who is looking to take the next step into a senior leadership position, or an existing Head of Department looking for a fresh challenge. You will take responsibility for heading up an established team of experienced conveyancers, overseeing the department's day-to-day operations while continuing to manage your own caseload. Working closely with the senior leadership team within the office, you will play an important role in the ongoing development and success of the department. The Role: Head up and oversee the conveyancing department within the Newport office.
Manage, support and develop an established team of technically strong conveyancers.
Maintain your own residential conveyancing caseload.
Work closely with the senior leadership team on departmental performance and strategy.
Provide technical guidance and support on complex conveyancing matters.
Monitor workflows, workloads and service standards, ensuring the team continues to deliver a high-quality service.
Support the continued growth and development of the department.
The Ideal Candidate: At least 6 years' PQE in residential conveyancing.
A strong technical background with extensive experience handling a varied caseload.
Previous management or supervisory experience, ideally within a conveyancing department.
A confident and supportive leadership style, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Commercially aware, organised and able to balance fee-earning responsibilities with departmental management.
