TSR Legal is working with a well-established UK group operating across performance, entertainment, education and commercial environments. Following continued growth, including a recent acquisition, the group is strengthening its in-house commercial and legal capability.
This is a newly created in-house role, reporting to the Group Commercial Director, providing legal and commercial support across multiple group companies. You will review, negotiate and manage a wide range of commercial contracts, support bids and procurement activity, and help embed consistent commercial standards across the business. The role can be appointed at Contracts Manager or Executive level, depending on experience, with clear progression as the role develops.
Key Responsibilities- Review and negotiate client, supplier and subcontractor contracts (including NEC, JCT and bespoke agreements)
- Support tenders and bids, ensuring compliance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015
- Develop and maintain standard terms, templates and contract registers
- Support framework and facilities management agreements
- Track contractual obligations, variations and risk
- Work closely with the Group Commercial Director, using external advisers only where required
- Contribute to governance, compliance and internal guidance materials
- 3 plus yearsβ experience in commercial legal work (in-house or private practice)
- Strong knowledge of UK contract law and public procurement
- Experience reviewing and negotiating complex commercial contracts
- Clear, practical communicator with a commercial approach
- Candidates with slightly less formal experience but strong commercial capability will be considered.
- Construction, engineering or technical services experience
- NEC and JCT contract knowledge
- CILEX or equivalent qualification
- Newly created in-house role with clear progression
- Broad, hands-on commercial contracts exposure
- Hybrid and flexible working (2 days on site)
