TSR Legal are proud to be partnering with a reputable and progressive law firm in Swindon, currently seeking a Legal Secretary to join their dedicated Private Client team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional and organised individual who is passionate about providing high-quality support within a client-focused legal environment. You will be assisting a busy team of Private Client solicitors, playing an integral role in supporting matters relating to Wills, Probate, Powers of Attorney, and Court of Protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening and maintaining client files, ensuring all documentation is accurately processed and compliant
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients - showing empathy, discretion, and professionalism at all times
- Providing full administrative support to fee earners, including proactive diary and task management
- Drafting and formatting legal documents such as Wills, LPAs, and Probate applications
- Preparing and processing correspondence, including audio and copy typing
- Assisting with billing procedures, file closure, and general financial administration
- Liaising with clients, family members, third parties, and the Court of Protection as needed
About You
- Previous experience working as a legal secretary within a Private Client department is essential
- Familiarity with Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Court of Protection matters
- A sensitive and client-focused approach, with the ability to work professionally in often emotional situations
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with a strong eye for detail
- Confident in using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) and legal case management systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
