In-House Commercial Solicitor
Location: Cardiff
Salary: Up to £65,000 DOE
Working Pattern: Hybrid
TSR Legal is working with a leading international technology and business intelligence organisation that is looking to appoint a Commercial Solicitor into its established in-house Legal team in Cardiff.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded solicitor who wants to work closer to the business, gain broader exposure and play a direct role in commercial decision-making. The position would suit either an existing in-house solicitor or a Commercial Solicitor in private practice looking to make their first move into industry.
The Role
You will work closely with stakeholders across the wider business, providing practical legal advice across a broad range of commercial, contractual and regulatory matters.
The role will include:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating customer, supplier, technology and partnership agreements
- Supporting commercial negotiations with customers and third-party suppliers
- Advising on contractual risk and providing pragmatic solutions to the wider business
- Supporting data protection, privacy and compliance matters
- Advising on new products, commercial projects and strategic initiatives
- Developing and updating legal templates, policies and internal processes
- Monitoring relevant legal and regulatory developments
Unlike a traditional private practice role, you will have the opportunity to follow matters through from initial discussion to commercial implementation and see the direct impact of your advice across the business.
About You
- You will be a qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with experience in commercial law gained either in private practice or in-house.
- You should have strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation experience together with the confidence to work directly with non-legal stakeholders.
- Experience within technology, SaaS, financial services, data or another regulated environment would be advantageous, as would exposure to UK GDPR and data protection matters.
