TSR Legal are pleased to be working in partnership with a highly regarded national law firm with an outstanding reputation within the property sector, now looking to strengthen its Residential Development team with the appointment of a Development (Plot Sales) Fee Earner in Gloucester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and supportive team acting for regional and national developer clients, including FTSE 100 companies and 5-star HBF-rated housebuilders. The Role
Based within the firm’s specialist Residential Development team in Gloucester, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of plot sales work on behalf of developer clients, alongside associated part-exchange transactions and development site matters. The successful candidate will benefit from exposure to high-quality, technically varied work with full training provided in residential development matters where required.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the set-up of new development sites
- Drafting contracts, transfers, leases, and associated plot sale documentation
- Handling part-exchange and resale transactions
- Managing exchange and completion processes
- Responding to enquiries from buyers’ solicitors
- Dealing with infrastructure agreements, easements, and statutory authority matters
- Reporting to developer clients on transactions and related matters
- Overseeing SDLT submissions and Land Registry registrations
- Supervising junior support staff where appropriate
- Managing files efficiently while achieving agreed billing targets
About You
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors or FCILEx qualified professionals with property law experience, whether gained within residential or commercial property. The firm is particularly interested in candidates who are:

- Able to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Comfortable managing competing priorities and deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
- Keen to develop their expertise within residential development work
Previous plot sales or development experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as training will be provided.
