TSR Legal is delighted to be working with a well-established and progressive law firm in Bath that is looking to appoint a Part-Time Post Completions Clerk to join its busy Residential Conveyancing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised administrator who enjoys working with accuracy and attention to detail. Previous post-completion or conveyancing experience would be advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right individual.
The Role
Working as part of a friendly and supportive Residential Conveyancing team, you will be responsible for coordinating post-completion matters, ensuring transactions are progressed efficiently and accurately while providing excellent support to clients, lenders and colleagues.
The firm is offering genuine flexibility, with 20-25 hours per week, which can be worked over three full days or split across four or five shorter days, making this an ideal opportunity for someone seeking a better work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing post-completion correspondence and documentation.
- Checking completion statements and ensuring financial calculations are accurate across client and office accounts.
- Submitting applications to HMRC and HM Land Registry.
- Managing Land Registry requisitions and responding promptly to outstanding matters.
- Handling enquiries from mortgage lenders relating to redemptions and registrations.
- Liaising with fee earners regarding outstanding post-completion matters.
- Providing general administrative support to the Residential Conveyancing team as required.
About You
You will have:
- Previous administration experience within a professional office environment.
- Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines.
- A proactive, flexible and team-focused approach.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous post-completion or residential conveyancing experience.
- Knowledge of HM Land Registry processes.
- Familiarity with LEXCEL accreditation standards.
